IBM Named Leader in Enterprise Asset Management by Verdantix
IBM has been recognized as a leader in Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) by independent research firm Verdantix.
In their latest report, “Green Quadrant: Enterprise Asset Management Software 2024,” IBM’s Maximo Application Suite earned top scores for its technical and functional capabilities, standing out among 14 vendors evaluated across 27 criteria.
IBM Maximo, known for its intelligent asset management, predictive maintenance, and energy management capabilities, received the highest ratings in several categories, including platform interoperability, inspections, and energy management.
Verdantix highlighted IBM Maximo’s seamless integration with performance-related modules and praised its use of AI to optimise maintenance and asset performance.
This recognition comes at a critical time as businesses across industries seek ways to better manage their operational assets, reduce costs, and improve sustainability.
EAM is becoming increasingly crucial for companies aiming to increase asset uptime, reduce environmental impact, and ensure regulatory compliance.
In addition to this distinction, IBM recently announced the acquisition of Prescinto, a leader in renewable energy asset performance management.
This acquisition is expected to strengthen IBM Maximo’s capabilities, particularly in the energy and utilities sectors, further solidifying IBM’s position as a leader in both EAM and Asset Performance Management (APM).
Earlier in 2024, Verdantix also named IBM Maximo a leader in APM, making IBM the only company to hold leadership status in both EAM and APM.
