Microsoft Unveils Human-Centered AI with Copilot Fall Release

A major step toward personal, connected, and trusted AI experiences

Microsoft has launched the Copilot Fall Release, marking a milestone in its vision for human-centered AI. The update aims to make AI more personal, social, and empowering—focusing on technology that serves people rather than replacing them.

Mustafa Suleyman, CEO of Microsoft AI, described the initiative as “a promise that AI can be helpful, supportive, and deeply personal.”

AI That Connects and Collaborates

The new “Groups” feature turns Copilot into a shared workspace, allowing up to 32 participants to brainstorm, plan, and co-write in real time. Users can invite others with a link and collaborate seamlessly as Copilot summarizes discussions, assigns tasks, and tracks ideas.

Through Imagine, users can explore and remix AI-generated creations, fostering creativity and community-driven innovation.

Personalization and Memory

The update introduces Mico, a customizable visual AI companion that interacts through voice, color, and expressions, making engagement more natural.

Enhanced memory capabilities now let Copilot recall details, reference past conversations, and connect across services like OneDrive, Gmail, and Google Drive — all under user control and consent.

AI for Health, Learning, and Work

Copilot for Health now offers medically grounded responses from credible sources such as Harvard Health, while Learn Live transforms it into an interactive tutor using voice and visuals.

Copilot has also been deeply integrated into Edge and Windows, supporting natural voice commands, summarizing web content, and organizing tasks through new features like Journeys and Copilot Vision.

Rolling Out Globally

The updates are live in the U.S. and rolling out across the U.K., Canada, and other regions soon. Users can access Copilot via mobile apps or copilot.microsoft.com.

Microsoft says the release reinforces its mission to create AI that amplifies human potential, fosters collaboration, and earns user trust through transparency and empathy.

IBM and Groq Partner to Accelerate Enterprise AI Deployment

New collaboration enhances watsonx Orchestrate with high-speed AI inference powered by GroqCloud

IBM and Groq have announced a strategic technology and go-to-market partnership to bring faster, more efficient AI deployment to enterprises through IBM watsonx Orchestrate.

The partnership integrates Groq’s LPU-based inference technology and GroqCloud platform into IBM’s ecosystem, delivering real-time agentic AI capabilities that improve performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.

High-Speed, Reliable AI for Enterprise Use

GroqCloud, powered by Groq’s custom Language Processing Unit (LPU), delivers over five times faster inference than traditional GPU systems.

This ensures low latency and stable performance across large-scale, mission-critical workloads in industries such as healthcare, finance, and manufacturing.

IBM plans to support its Granite models on GroqCloud and integrate Red Hat’s open-source vLLM technology with Groq’s hardware to optimize inference orchestration and performance.

Expanding Real-World Applications

In healthcare, IBM’s AI agents powered by Groq can now handle thousands of patient queries simultaneously with higher accuracy and faster responses. Retail and HR teams are also leveraging the technology to automate tasks and enhance productivity.

Commitment to Scalable, Secure AI

IBM’s SVP Rob Thomas emphasized that the collaboration reflects IBM’s focus on delivering enterprise-ready AI solutions that balance speed, quality, and reliability.

Groq CEO Jonathan Ross added that the partnership aims to move enterprises “from experimentation to adoption,” enabling AI systems that act instantly and learn continuously.

The integration is available immediately for IBM clients, offering a secure, high-performance foundation for scaling agentic AI across industries and workflows.
