AWS Expands AI and Security Certification Portfolio
AWS has announced a new certification to help developers validate their generative AI skills. The AWS Certified Generative AI Developer – Professional certification focuses on integrating foundation models into applications and business workflows.
Developers and AI engineers can demonstrate expertise in production-ready AI solutions using foundation models, RAG architectures, and vector databases.
The beta exam opens for registration on November 18, 2025, lasts 204 minutes, and has 85 questions. Beta participants will receive an Early Adopter badge upon passing.
Exam Preparation Plan
An exam prep plan will also be available on AWS Skill Builder from November 18. It includes practice assessments, hands-on labs through AWS SimuLearn, lessons covering each exam domain, and role-based training to refresh AWS knowledge.
Retirement of AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty
AWS is retiring the Machine Learning – Specialty certification. The last exam date is March 31, 2026. Current certification holders will retain their credentials until the original expiration date. AWS encourages learners to continue their AI/ML journey through the expanded portfolio, including the new generative AI certification.

IBM Launches New AI Agents on Oracle Fusion Applications Marketplace
New AI Agents for Enterprise Automation
IBM has introduced three new AI agents on the Oracle Fusion Applications AI Agent Marketplace. Built with Oracle AI Agent Studio, these agents aim to automate common workflows and improve operational efficiency for Oracle Fusion Cloud customers.
The new Oracle-validated agents include:
- Intercompany Agent – Automates the review of intercompany agreements.
- Smart Sales Order Entry Agent – Streamlines sales-order creation and generates relevant order-to-cash data.
- Requisition-to-Contract Agent – Simplifies the workflow for converting purchase requisitions into contract purchase orders.
Kaushal Kurapati, GVP of Product Management for Fusion AI at Oracle, said these agents will help organizations drive productivity, agility, and innovation at scale.
IBM watsonx Orchestrate Agents Coming Soon
IBM plans to release additional agents for HR and Supply Chain built on IBM watsonx Orchestrate. These enterprise-grade agents will automate processes across Oracle and non-Oracle applications, offering a multi-agent approach for complex workflows.
Watsonx Orchestrate, running on Red Hat OpenShift AI, allows IBM to supervise multiple AI agents simultaneously, enhancing automation and efficiency across industries. Oracle will also soon make the IBM Granite 4.0 AI models available through its Cloud Infrastructure Data Science platform.
Partnership Driving AI Innovation
IBM and Oracle are collaborating to deliver agentic AI solutions that empower organizations to transform business operations. Their joint study, “The strategic ascent: How autonomous AI transforms enterprise business operations,” highlights how AI can drive operational efficiency and competitive advantage.
These developments reflect IBM’s and Oracle’s ongoing commitment to providing scalable, intelligent automation solutions for global enterprises.

ChatGPT Introduces Conversational Apps and New Apps SDK
A New Way to Interact with Apps
ChatGPT is rolling out a new generation of apps that let you chat with it directly. These apps fit naturally into conversations, responding to natural language and offering interactive interfaces right inside the chat. You can discover apps when ChatGPT suggests them, or you can call them by name.
For users, these apps adapt to the chat context to help create, learn, and do more. For developers, the new Apps SDK enables reaching over 800 million ChatGPT users at the right time.
Availability and Pilot Partners
Apps are now available to all logged-in ChatGPT users outside the European Economic Area, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom, across Free, Go, Plus, and Pro plans.
Pilot partners include Booking.com, Canva, Coursera, Figma, Expedia, Spotify, and Zillow, with more partners expected later this year.
Building Apps with the Apps SDK
Developers can start building and testing apps today using the Apps SDK preview, which is based on the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Documentation and example apps are available to guide development.
Later this year, developers will be able to submit apps for review and publication, with options for monetization.
How Users Can Interact with Apps
Users can call apps by name in a chat, such as asking Spotify to make a playlist or Zillow to show home listings. ChatGPT may also suggest apps relevant to the conversation, integrating features such as maps, playlists, and presentations directly into the chat.
