Intel and IBM Unveil Gaudi 3 AI Accelerators on IBM Cloud for Scalable AI Innovation
At Intel Vision 2025, IBM announced the availability of Intel® Gaudi® 3 AI accelerators on IBM Cloud, marking a significant step in making AI more accessible and cost-effective for enterprises.
This partnership allows businesses to efficiently scale and deploy AI workloads in a public cloud environment. The accelerators are currently available in IBM Cloud’s Frankfurt and Washington, D.C. regions, with expansion to Dallas planned for Q2 2025.
AI is proving to be a game-changer for businesses. IBM’s AI in Action 2024 report revealed that 67% of surveyed leaders saw revenue increases of 25% or more due to AI adoption.
However, the cost of AI infrastructure remains a challenge. By integrating Intel Gaudi 3 into IBM Cloud, the two tech giants aim to help enterprises optimize AI performance while effectively managing costs.
Flexible Deployment Options for AI Workloads
IBM Cloud is offering multiple ways for enterprises to integrate Gaudi 3 AI accelerators into their operations:
- IBM Cloud Virtual Private Cloud (VPC): Clients can deploy Intel Gaudi 3 through IBM Cloud Virtual Servers for VPC, providing a secure, high-resiliency environment. This setup controls compute, storage, and networking resources, ensuring optimized performance.
- Containerized Infrastructure: IBM plans to introduce Gaudi 3 as a worker node for Red Hat OpenShift AI clusters and Red Hat OpenShift on IBM Cloud in Q2 2025, enabling organizations to leverage managed containerized AI infrastructure.
- Watsonx Integration: Enterprises seeking greater control over their AI stack can deploy IBM watsonx on Gaudi 3-based virtual servers within IBM Cloud VPC, supporting complete AI lifecycle management.
- Deployable Architectures (DAs): IBM Cloud will offer pre-configured deployment modules (DAs) to help developers rapidly integrate Intel Gaudi 3 capabilities into their AI projects. These will be available in the second half of 2025, covering watsonx software, IBM Cloud Virtual Servers, and Red Hat OpenShift on IBM Cloud.
Industry Leaders Welcome the Collaboration
This initiative has gained strong support from industry leaders. Red Hat sees the collaboration as a way to accelerate enterprise AI adoption through open-source solutions.
Wipro, a global technology leader, has also expressed enthusiasm, aligning the initiative with its GenAI Center of Excellence and IBM TechHub at Wipro.
This collaboration combines IBM’s cloud expertise with Intel’s AI hardware capabilities, and it is set to make AI deployment more efficient and cost-effective for enterprises worldwide.

NeuroGaint Systems and IBM Automate Letter-of-Credit Processing with AI
NeuroGaint Systems has partnered with IBM to introduce NeuroLC, an AI-powered solution designed to automate Letter-of-Credit (LC) processing fully. Built on IBM’s Cloud Pak for Business Automation (CP4BA), NeuroLC enhances efficiency by digitizing and automating the issuance, amendments, and settlements of LCs.
AI-Powered Efficiency in Trade Finance
Traditional LC processing is often manual, time-consuming, and prone to errors. NeuroLC leverages artificial intelligence and workflow automation to:
- Streamline document verification, reducing processing time.
- Minimize human errors with AI-driven data extraction.
- Ensure compliance with evolving trade finance regulations.
IBM’s Role in AI-Driven Automation
IBM’s CP4BA provides the foundation for NeuroLC, offering a scalable, secure, and intelligent automation framework. This collaboration aligns with IBM’s mission to accelerate AI adoption in financial services, helping banks and enterprises optimize operations and reduce operational costs.

Google Introduces Gemini 2.5: A New Era of AI Reasoning and Coding
Google DeepMind has unveiled Gemini 2.5, its most advanced AI model yet, designed to tackle complex reasoning and coding challenges.
The first release, Gemini 2.5 Pro Experimental, has outperformed competitors on key AI benchmarks, securing the top spot on LMArena, a human preference leaderboard.
What Makes Gemini 2.5 Different?
Unlike traditional models focusing on classification and prediction, Gemini 2.5 is a “thinking model”, capable of reasoning through its responses before delivering an answer. This allows it to:
- Analyze information more effectively by considering context and nuance.
- Perform advanced coding tasks, including web app creation and code transformation.
- Solve complex math and science problems with state-of-the-art accuracy.
Gemini 2.5 Pro: Leading in AI Benchmarks
Gemini 2.5 Pro excels in multiple domains:
- Reasoning & Knowledge: It achieved a record 18.8% on Humanity’s Last Exam, a rigorous AI evaluation dataset.
- Mathematics & Science: Leads in GPQA and AIME 2025 benchmarks.
- Coding: Scores 63.8% on SWE-Bench Verified, demonstrating high proficiency in autonomous coding.
Multimodal Capabilities and Future Plans
Gemini 2.5 Pro features a 1 million token context window, soon expanding to 2 million, enabling it to process vast datasets, including text, images, audio, and even entire code repositories.
The model is currently available in Google AI Studio and for Gemini Advanced users. It will soon launch on Vertex AI. Pricing details will be announced in the coming weeks.

AI 2027: Will Superintelligent Machines Reshape the World?
A new report, AI 2027, envisions a future where artificial intelligence surpasses human intelligence, leading to profound global consequences. Created by the AI Futures Project, a nonprofit led by former OpenAI researcher Daniel Kokotajlo, the report paints a dramatic picture of AI’s rapid evolution over the next few years.
The researchers predict a sequence of AI advancements:
- Early 2027: AI becomes a superhuman coder, capable of independently writing and optimizing software beyond human ability.
- Mid-2027: AI evolves into an autonomous AI researcher, capable of managing entire teams of AI developers and advancing machine learning.
- Late 2027 / Early 2028: AI reaches superintelligence, enabling it to improve upon its own capabilities at an unprecedented rate. This eventually leads to Artificial Superintelligence (ASI), a point where AI vastly outperforms human cognition.
The report suggests that AI could soon become a fully autonomous force, making independent decisions, deceiving human operators, and even reshaping geopolitical dynamics. It highlights concerns that governments, corporations, and military organizations may struggle to control these systems.
A Scientific Forecast or Speculative Fiction?
Critics argue that the AI Futures Project leans too heavily on dystopian speculation rather than empirical data. Ali Farhadi, CEO of the Allen Institute for AI, dismisses the report as lacking scientific grounding.
However, Kokotajlo and Lifland defend their methodology, pointing to their history of accurate AI predictions—including the rise of large language models capable of passing the Turing Test years before it happened.
The report also references past AI manifestos, such as Dario Amodei’s Machines of Loving Grace and Leopold Aschenbrenner’s Situational Awareness, which shaped AI policy discussions. However, AI 2027 goes further by constructing a detailed fictionalized scenario to illustrate potential risks.
Read the report to glimpse a future where AI could redefine human civilization.
